                        Jackie Strode - UK -  International Head Judge

                        Jackie has been making dolls since 1983 and willingly admits it is an obsession.  She has won numerous International Awards. for both her dolls and their costumes.  Jackie has studied antiques dolls at home and abroad.   Jackie served a  full millinery apprenticeship and is  a fully qualified  professional milliner.  She does have another passion in her life and  is also an extremely proficient Martial Arts expert, holding a 6th Dan for Jujitsu and 5th Dan for Judo.  Jackie also trained as a teacher  and taught ceramics in art college.  Jackie's  passion for antique dolls especially is infectious, and her knowledge is second to none and this is evident when you meet her, and very evident when you take one of her classes, workshops or seminars.

                        Karen Martinez - USA

                        Karen began making dolls in 1995, but only briefly. She did not pick it up again until 2003   In that same year she won a “Millie” and “Magge” in international competition and a “Gold Rosette” the following year.  Karen is Managing Editor for the  International Doll Artist  Magazine.





                        Joyce Murch - USA

                        Joyce is a world renowned doll artist whose Porcelain doll making career began in 1976.  Her dolls have won many top awards in international competition.  Among her accomplishments are the introduction of various doll making techniques, development of antique restoration, numerous articles and publications.  Joyce is Features Editor of the  International Doll Artist Magazine.




                        Mavis Symonds - UK Costume Judge

                        Mavis began making dolls in 1997 and immediately began to win top prizes.  She has won numerous best in category rosettes, and achieved Platinum Doll Maker status.  Mavis is Professional embroiderer, knitter and seamstress  and taught embroidery for 15 years.

                        Dawn Palmer - UK

                        Dawn began doll making in 1989, she has won many international awards and achieved  Diamond Doll Maker status in competition.  Dawn's enthusiasm and passion for doll making is evident to all who meet her.  Dawn's students are now enjoying their own success in competition.

                        |Lianne Hart  - UK Costume Judge

                        Lianne has won many awards both in the UK and Internationally.  In addition to being a superb doll maker, Lianne is an outstanding needlewoman and is a Diploma Student of the Royal School of Needle work and was part of the team who worked on the Royal wedding dress  and veil for Catherine Middleton.  Lianne has won numerous prizes for her dolls and is currently writing her first embroidery book.

                        Barbara Connolly - UK

                        In 1991 Barbara discovered doll making. The following year she successfully entered her first competition.  She won many awards including achieving Platinum Doll Maker Status.  She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others especially through writing articles, teaching  and demonstrations.

                        Valerie Dixon - UK

                        Valerie's doll making career began some 30 years ago. She was the first UK Instructor for DAG and was responsible for introducing many techniques to the UK, among them waterbase and wet-cleaning.  Valerie has been extremely influential on doll making in the UK and introduced many of the UK's top doll makers to this wonderful creative art.

                        Sandra Everett - UK

                        Sandra's doll making career began over 25 years ago.  Her passion for antique dolls and their costuming is well known.  Among the many International awards Sandra has won is the coveted Chateau de la Poupee, and she was invited to display her winning Bru in the famous French Museum for three years.  Sandra also achieved Platinum Doll Maker Status.

                        Carole Piper - UK

                        Dolls have fascinated Carole since childhood. In the 1980's she made beautiful original limited edition and one of a kind dolls.  Successful trips to OOAK shows followed.  Carol's background as a court dressmaker instilled in her a love of creative costuming.   The beauty and historical interest of antique dolls persuaded her to make antique reproductions for which she has won many International awards.
